Bio

Born in 2008 in a sweltering Southern California summer, The Cornfed Project is real, 100% hand-carved hard rock, shaped with traditional guitar, bass and drums tools of the trade. They build punchy, crunchy, catchy songs inspired by sweat-soaked rock ‘n’ roll masters from A(c/dc) to Z(z top). Old school? Maybe, but this ain’t some retro, bell-bottomed nostalgia bullshit. The Cornfed Project are NOW filtered through THEN. Their sound is of a time, but you can’t quite put your finger on it… because it’s also timeless. It’s songs you’ll remember through a hangover; it’s hooks you’ll hum through the ringing in your ears.

The question gets asked a lot: Is rock dead? The Cornfed Project couldn’t care less; and when you wrap your ears around this band, neither will you. So get up and get down, because tonight we’re gonna party like it’s 1979.

The Cornfed Project are:

Matt “Cornfed” Wheeler - vocals, guitar
Jeff Moses - guitar
Chris Shinkus - bass, vocals
Jason Hubbard - drums

“They play it loud, they play it nasty… Nice boys don’t play rock ‘n’ roll, after all. Best just to glory in this. It’s brilliant.”

“Southern-styled blues rock ‘n’ roll with hot guitar licks, riffs and beards. I bet they drive pickup trucks. Seriously, a top rate band.”
